Xin Chao!
We are a group of 13 undergraduate students from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor and Dearborn campuses, along with 4 Vietnamese students from HANU university, located in Hanoi Vietnam. Together we are a part of GIEU - or Global Intercultural Experience for Undergraduates, a program at U of M that emphasizes intercultural learning through travel, to various sites around the world.
Our destination is Vietnam, a Southeast Asian country bordered by China, Laos, and Cambodia. Often a tense subject matter when looked at through North American eyes due to history, Vietnam is a rapidly developing country with lush landscapes, and a rich history.
We - the 2013 GIEU Vietnam team - invite you to join us on our journey by following our blog and learning as we do.
